SES America, Inc. (SESA) has partnered with Kiewit Corporation and Traffic Systems & Technology to successfully complete commissioning of twelve (12) double sided Lane Control Signs (LCS) on the Arlington Memorial Bridge in Washington D.C. Working with the National Park Service and Federal Highway Administration, the historic 90 year old bridge is undergoing a full rehabilitation for service in its second century as emphasized by the project's name: "A Bridge for the Future".

Double-sided Lane Control Signs on four (4) gantries

The full color Lane Control Signs were first installed and commissioned in Fall 2018 and have been operating since then, to secure lane assignment during rehabilitation work. For phase 2 of the works, the signs were relocated to the other side. This transfer was completed during the weekend to minimize traffic congestion. The SESA team is proud to be part of this project which demonstrates its customer support capabilities and commitment.

These LCS are of the M6000 family Type M6000-FAFC-33-18x30. One NTCIP compliant SESA SCU6 controller per gantry manages a total of 3 double sided signs. You can click here to learn more about the initial phase of this project.
