SES America, Inc. (SESA) has partnered with Kiewit Corporation and Traffic Systems & Technology to successfully complete commissioning of twelve (12) double sided Lane Control Signs (LCS) on the Arlington Memorial Bridge in Washington D.C. Working with the National Park Service and Federal Highway Administration, the historic 90 year old bridge is undergoing a full rehabilitation for service in its second century as emphasized by the project's name: "A Bridge for the Future".

Solar Weigh Station Display Systems Deployed in Rhode Island

SES America, Inc. (SESA) has completed the manufacturing and commissioning of solar powered Blank Out Signs (BOS) along Route 6 in Scituate, Rhode Island. This deployment is one of several solar system installations currently being deployed by SESA in the State for ITS equipment intended for Weigh Station and Travel Time applications.

Cedar Park Improves School Crossing Warnings with Multi-Phase Blank Out Signs

Cedar Park, 16 miles to the Northwest of Austin Texas,, recently explored strategies to improve major school crossing safety at key crossing hours, morning and afternoon. As a result, the Public Works Department implemented at the intersection of Lakeline Blvd and Cougar Country Blvd, multi-message blank out signs to support the crossing guard responsibilities in this area which serves three different schools and their respective routes through this intersection.

New Blank Out Sign for City of Portland

 SES America recently deployed a 36" LED 'Turning Vehicles Yield To Pedestrian' symbol sign for the City of Portland, ME.  

This robust, easily observable sign is equipped with a light sensor to seamlessly adjust to morning light conditions and a polycarbonate face for a higher level of protection.  Additionally, it is  maximized with complete 30 degree viewing angle, made possible by the calculation of a SESA microprocessor that offers the appropriate lighting for increased visibility.

SESA Mobility Products are approved by Massachusetts DOT

SES America Inc.(SESA), a Rhode Island-based manufacturer of digital, LED signage for the transportation industry has been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation for their Blank Out and Lane Control Signs.  These models are now included in the MassDOT Qualified Traffic and Control Equipment List under Section 824: Flashing Beacons, Illuminated Warning Signs, and Lighted Barrier Arrows.

Double Warning Blank Out Signs Help Congestion in Phoenix School Zone

The  Traffic Deadlock Dilemma

Looking to address the traffic deadlock dilemma that plagues many urban American experiences, the City of Phoenix has deployed a double warning system in the drop zone of a local school. This area is prone to high volume vehicular congestion, especially during morning drop-off hours, with a left turn pocket at the school ground's entrance that clashes with a right turn lane from the other direction. These opposing lanes are often at odds, with drivers from both directions feverishly attempting to enter the drop zone area first.

SESA Completes Testing and Integration of New Hampshire Solar Powered Weigh Station Signs

SES America(SESA) and its partners New England Traffic Solutions and New England Signal Systems recently completed testing and commissioning of Solar Powered Signs for several Weigh Stations in New Hampshire. These signs are installed on I-93 near Windham, NH and will be used to display the status of weigh stations (OPEN or CLOSED) on both the northbound and southbound directions of the highway.
