SES America, Inc. has recently completed another successful Dynamic Message Sign deployment for the New York Department of Transportation, with delivery of a Walk-In DMS on the I-990 Lockport Expressway in Amherst, NY.

The M6000 sign was fully installed and commissioned in April of 2018, and replaces legacy equipment that had been operating on the roadway for several years. The installation marks the second successful deployment in the region in recent years for SESA and builds off other work done across the state for both the New York State and New York City Departments of Transportation. The sign was constructed in accordance with NYSDOT specifications and combines industry leading energy efficiency with environmentally hardened components designed to require low maintenance. Each sign is controlled via SESA’s touch screen NTCIP compliant controller and integrated with the region’s traffic control center for ease of use.
